Answer by Cdr Rathore: Whether you are appearing in 10th or 12th board exam or SSB Interview, coaching improves performance.
If coaching is taken just before 10th or 12th board exam, it is not as fruitful. However, if you finish the coaching well before the board exam, you will learn right procedures and practice at home to develop speed. In addition, if you take coaching from less experienced mentor, the learning imparted by the mentor will be shallow. Similarly, a student planning to join Armed Forces should take coaching well before the SSB Interview from someone like me who has best expertise & humongous experience.
Students must understand that when you were 10 to 12 years of age, you could not write as good a story as you are able to write when 17 to 20 years of age. You are able to write a better story because of improved knowledge, exposure, abilities, communication skills etc. When you take SSB coaching from someone like me, you will learn the right procedure and hone the right skills. You will become better in story writing WAT, SRT, SD, Group discussion, GPE, PGT, Individual obstacles, Lecturette and Interview etc.
Remember, watching a cricket or football match on TV is not the same as watching it live. Similarly, taking coaching in person is much better than online classes. Imagine that you have qualified IIT. Would you like online classes from Delhi professors instead of going to IIT Delhi campus? The answer is “NO”. You would want to interact with professors and other students personally. You would like to use facilities of IIT Delhi campus. Similarly, when you take coaching from RS Defenceselect Academy, you will have one to one interaction daily with me and other students who are aspiring to be officer like you. You will get to practice group discussion and lecturette daily. You will be able to practice other outdoor tasks like Individual obstacles daily.
Lastly, every student who studies in IIT Delhi campus will improve after four years. Some will be way ahead of others and some will be mediocre. Similarly, every student who takes SSB Interview coaching will improve. Some will improve leaps and bounds and others will improve just a little.
